Life Lately..

Life lately has been very, very busy. There have been some ups and a few downs. One big down was the funeral of Matt's grandfather, who I had only know for some months but who was an incredible man who I quite enjoyed the company of. It only takes moments like this to realise what is really important and what you actually need to live a happy and healthy life.

Another up has been Alfie. It's nice to have a little companion who follows you around and is always up for a play when you are ready. He is a growing boy who so far has been responding well to training. I have really enjoyed my three days of being with him straight, without having to leave him while I go to work. What I really didn't expect is that a puppy is quite similar to a baby and I am really missing my sleep!

I hope to be blogging more regularly again soon, maybe with some more photos to share.

Guess what....

...and Alfie makes three!

This little bundle of fluff joined the family late on Thursday night. Since then, not much has happened after I finish work as I have a little shadow that follows me everywhere. He is incredibly affectionate and cuddly and loves to nap in all sorts of weird positions.

He is the main reason I haven't had a chance to update my blog for a few days, not to mention work has been fairly full on so all I do when I come home is chill with Alfie and eat dinner. I imagine he is going to be a great companion, he is already so spoilt and everyone that has met him has thought he was so cute!

Weekend Photos

A lovely weekend visiting family and animals on the farm. Plenty of sunshine and great weather. My second ever work function, what a blast! A long drive back to Newcastle.

Photos from the weekend

I had a lovely weekend up north visiting family. I spent a lot of time with the furry friends and also time with the family who I haven't seen for almost two months! Phew, that time flew quickly and it will be Christmas time before we know it.

Currently...

Loving: The promise of spring in the air. The days are getting longer and there is a definite warmth in the air which is fantastic. I'm by far a winter girl but something about the start of spring is making me happy these days. Once it warms up a bit more it will be so much nicer in my house without the constant chill.

Reading: Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult. There is something about the way she writes that always sucks me in and I know once I get to a certain part I just have to finish it! I bought this book for my sister and it has finally gotten back to me for my turn to read it. I have loved all of her previous books and read them all so quickly.

Watching: Reruns of my favourite movies and I have just started the Breaking Bad series. I am not really interested with what is on tv at the moment and I am finding myself with it on less these days, instead spending my time after work either on my computer or seeing friends.

Thinking about: Going on holidays! Spending all my days surrounded my so many travel options is giving me way to many ideas of places I could travel. At the moment I am only restricted by how much leave I have at work (which isn't much).

Making me happy: Life has been so busy in the past few months, and I haven't had a chance to visit home for awhile. My sister is coming down this weekend for some much anticipated catching up and I can't wait! Not to mention I have been rostered a 3 day weekend so I can have an extra day off.

My Weekend..in Instagram

Play time with the animals, long late night drives, new toys, seeing old friends, spending time with my parents and enjoying the open air. These are just a few things that happened this weekend and that I happened to document through Instagram.

Weekend Photos!

I had a lovely long weekend visiting my family. We spent time road tripping to areas of the country I haven't visited before, nice walks on the farm and playing with the animals. There also might have been some op shopping in there too!

Hot Stuff

Sometimes all you need is a full hot water bottle and a cup of tea on a chilly afternoon. Just a little present from Mum (thanks!) and the cover is really cute! I can't believe how much warmer they make you.

Weekend Wrap Up!

The past weekend I spent road tripping up to visit the family and I took a special someone up with me to meet some new people and explore the area.

We spent time trying out some of my favourite places to eat at home and some new places that I haven’t had a chance to see yet. Once of these was a café on the top of North Brother mountain, it was so nice and it has the best view of the area. There was also a Mother’s Day breakfast which (most) of the family came too so it was great to catch up with everyone.

I also had to introduce all the animals, and Dudley has definitely found a new favourite person. Some games of fetch were played but mostly he was content to lay in the afternoon sun with us. The cows and other animals are so much bigger than when I last saw them and their winter coats have come in so they are all woolly.

Overall it was such a great weekend. The weather was so fantastic and warm, it was lovely! We even stopped for a short picnic on the drive home which was perfect. I couldn't ask for a better weekend!

Graduation!

So I graduated last Friday the 13th (what a day!) and it was fun, weird and sad all rolled into one. It felt good to graduate, but I don't really feel old enough or that enough time has passed since I finished high school. I guess that is just growing up though!

It was great to have my parents and sister come down for the day, even if it was a quick visit and I'm glad they could be there. It was a fun day!

..

Gosh it feels like forever since I have posted anything! These past few weeks have been crazy busy, working everyday, taking care of my parents farm and moving house in between all of that! I have a load of pictures, a video and tons of stuff I want to post. But for now my internet is sketchy at best and it wont let me upload photos at the moment. So for now this will have to do!

Back soon!

Weekend Wrap Up

On the weekend I returned home to visit family, see friends and attend the Kendall Rodeo! Sadly I don't have any pictures of the action, we weren't positioned in the best location for taking photos. As per usual I spent a fair amount of my time playing with the various animals on the farm. Max is becoming more comfortable with people and has a new fascination with sniffing and licking and Pippa is looking quite big now, we all hope to have another calf born in the next week or so!

Christmas Weekend

The Christmas weekend for me was a very busy time! I spent Christmas eve helping my mum out at her shop (and it was very busy and full on!) and seeing friends at night. Christmas Day was at my parents house so I was helping with food, cleaning up and socialising. Before I realised, Christmas day was almost over and I had taken no photos! The above photo was the only one I did actually take. My sister and I took the dogs out for a quick drive in the late afternoon and they both loved it.

We also had other family come up and visit on Boxing day and the day after so it was really an extended weekend of family time! It was great to catch up with some family that live further away but also with family that live close who we don't see very much. I was gifted some very lovely things and I felt very spoilt! Half the fun on Christmas day is watching people open their gifts that I have bought for them.

I sort of took a mini holiday from the Internet also...I scheduled some blog posts and was checking my emails very infrequently. It was nice to have some time away, but now I need to get back into the swing of things!

Happy..

Happy, Happy Birthday Grant! Hope your day was fantastic, even though you didn't spend your vouchers and we mostly drove around to do things for me.

You are a kinda rad boyfriend.
