Almost market day..

This Saturday is the Christmas at Redhead handmade market. Everyday Mae is going to be proud stall holder (for the first time! Eek). I have been very busy sewing and I have a lot of new goodies finished that haven't been listed in the shop.

There is going to be some fantastic stalls all in perfect time for Christmas shopping, and some awesome extras like a Santa. So come down to Redhead and visit the Everyday Mae stall! Markets begin at 3pm and conclude at 7pm, and will be followed by Carols performed by the Anglican Church.

Weekend Wrap Up

Reasons why this weekend was awesome:

The sun finally came out (if only for a few days!)

I made my first batch of unassisted jam. It was so much fun, I think I am going to be hooked now.

I curled my hair using this method to go to a 21st on Friday night. I wasn't sure how well it would take (my hair is super thick, and most times heat curling doesn't take very well). I was pleasantly surprised when they worked, and as a bonus they even stayed curly with added volume for another two days.

In all I had a fun weekend, and ended up taking a break from Everyday Mae things. I need to turn the motivation on for the next week though, in preparation for my first market next weekend!

Weekend Wrap Up

The past few weeks have seen an influx of animals on my parents property. Some chickens hatched, the cows came over from their neighbours property, and the miniature horses arrived.

This weekend was the first chance for me to visit the horses. They have been partly wild, and so are wary of people at the moment although they will approach you to eat from your hands. They are definitely curious of us and like to watch you when your in their paddock.

I spent most of my spare time with them and because I was there, so was Dudley and the cats. Its fun to watch all the animals interact together, they are going to all be good friends! When is a weekend spent with animals ever a bad one?

Just a quick update!

Everyday Mae has been featured in another two treasuries in the past few days! It makes me feel fantastic that people like and want to share my work! Just follow the links under the images to see the treasuries!

It has been such a busy weekend, I have been visiting family (again!) and are a few days behind in posting my photo of the day challenges. I have a lot of blog reading to catch up on, and orders to wrap and post. I am hoping to be more organised by this time tomorrow!
