Here are some sneak peaks at some of my favourite parts of my bedroom. (It sounds terrible, I know!) But I really enjoyed decorating for one and using exactly what I wanted. It’s a bedroom filled with colour, patterns, vintage prints, artwork and some of my favourite teapots and decorations. I love spending time in this room! My adorable fabric wall stickers are from Love Mae and they are the best ever! I have already moved them around a few times and they always look fantastic.
I participated in a lovely vintage fabric swap hosted by Green Tea and Red Nails. It was such a great idea and I am loving all the fabric that I received back! Some has already been used but there is a few that I will be keeping for myself to use in yet unknown crafty projects!
I guess I haven't fully gotten my blogging schedule back yet...this is pretty obvious because I'm posting about the weekend on a Tuesday! What a weekend it was! I spent time sewing, seeing friends, celebrating St Patrick's day and handmade marketing all day Sunday. So I was very exhausted by the end and just wanted to sleep!
Here are some quick photos I snapped on the weekend, my super large chicken schnitzel that was love heart shaped, pretty flowers out of my bedroom window and my favourite night time tea mug! No photos from the markets sadly, I was busy with set up and customers and then finally pack up. I think I am getting the hang of doing markets (and this was my first one by myself) and I can't wait to do so many more!
Slowly and surely I have been taking some photos of my new house, but it's not fully ready yet to be shown on the blog. It's a fantastic place to live and I'm loving every second of it!
*Lost myself reading a book after dinner and realised it had gotten dark without me noticing. *Forgot three times the water had been turned off and had to use 'emergency water' to fill the kettle. * Practiced my stall set up for the upcoming markets and stressed that I might not have enough products. *Felt inspired and worked really had on five more products for the market stall. *Spent way to long on the Internet doing nothing much. *Cursed someone who didn't respond to an important email. *Felt strangely at peace with where I am and what I am doing. *Visited a new supermarket and got flustered trying to find cooking twine. I didn't find it. *Restarted blog reading after more than a month of sucky Internet. I still have so many to catch up on. *Cooked myself dinner of exactly what I wanted. *Had the back door open (but screen locked) after dark. This is big for me.
I was inspired to do this post after reading Natalie's from Winter Love. What a good idea to appreciate all the little things in the day, good and bad.
It was a not so relaxing three week holiday of looking after the farm and working six days a week that kept me from blogging. I had anticipated that I wouldn't always be able to post regularly, so I scheduled a few posts and planned to do some more while I was there. Well....a sketchy internet connection, 12 hour days and too many cute animals to play with meant that setting up the laptop and waiting for the slooooooooooooooooooooooooow internet connection to work wasn't really worth it. Not to mention on weekends I traveled back to Newcastle, moved house and started uni again. Phew!
I managed to stay on top of my photo-a-day-challenge and that's almost all the photos I took! Although I did manage to make a nice little video which I will post up soon =) But for now, here is some of my favourite photos that I took.
